Your rafting adventure on the Sarapiqui River begins early in the morning when you are picked up at your hotel in either San Jose or Arenal with all of your belongings. A quick breakfast is served while you are in the van on your way to the beginning of your adventure- this takes approximately an hour and a half. Once all of the rafts have started, the van with your luggage will be transported to a facility at the end of the tour where they will be taken care of while you are rafting. The first part of the trip is in a relatively tame part of the river with virtually no rapids, allowing for everyone to enjoy the beautiful scenery before breaking for lunch about halfway thru your day. At the end of your family’s rafting tour, everyone is taken to a facility where they can shower and change before heading off to the their next destination. Your rafting time will total two and a half or three hours and will include transportation back to San Jose or on to Arenal Volcano.
