The prime fishing season is December- May. But fish can be caught year-round because the Gulf of Nicoya is a magnet for many different species of baitfish. December – May is also dry season, so the seas are generally calm when the fishing is best. Costa Rica's waters abound with whales, dolphins, turtles, manta rays, and many other species of marine life throughout the year. |

Within a few minutes, you’ll be fishing some of the World’s most productive waters for Pacific Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado and Wahoo. All billfish (sailfish and marlin) are released, but keep your Dorado, Tuna and Wahoo, and have the chefs at your hotel cook them to your liking. |
