Time to relax and unwind

Just a note to say thank you for all the arrangements you made for our travel after the Caravan tour ended last Monday.
Everything worked out perfectly.
We were as you said able to store our heavy suitcases with Nature Air, the flights to and from Playa Tambor were great, and our time at the Barcelo there was very enjoyable.
We enjoyed Rancho Rio Perlas on the day following the Caravan bus tour -- gave us time to relax and unwind from a fairly structure time on the tour.
We are very impressed with your beautiful country and your intelligent, forward-looking, and hospitable people.

Everything was perfect
I would be very happy to serve as a reference for your company. I told my husband that you had requested our feedback, and couldn’t express enough how pleased he was with the way you handled all of the arrangements. We never encountered any problems, despite the numerous reservations with all of the hotels, transfers, tours, shuttles, etc. Everything was perfect. My husband was also very impressed that you took the initiative to call us at Sapo Dorado to us to let us know there would be a slight delay with our transportation from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio.
My husband also told me that he sent an email to Sunset Tours to let them know how wonderful our guide (Zender) and driver (Robert) were (in La Fortuna). They escorted the two of us for the entire day, and kept us entertained and laughing the whole time. Zender is very intelligent and his enthusiasm was infectious. Actually, all of the tours and guides were amazing. The rafting trip was exceptional. All of the guides were fun (David was the guide on our raft), and the food was really good! They prepared quite a spread for us out on the river. The Sky Trek guides (Antonio and Jairo) were so wonderful, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
The guides on the catamaran were also very helpful and very friendly, and we enjoyed hanging out with them. If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to have potential clients contact me. Email would be best, since personal calls at work are discouraged. If they want to speak with me personally, I’ll be happy to provide them with my home phone number. I understand exactly how it feels to put your trust in a travel agency in a foreign country. We had family and friends trying to tell us that we would be left stranded in Costa Rica. I was never worried.

Everything was taken care for us
We had a wonderful time.
All our activities scheduled were exciting and fun.It was a real vacation where everything was taken care for us. Right from the start we were greeted by MY CR representative at the airport and from then on we were treated very well. The Trip was Amazing
Organizing our family vacation with My Costa Rica was like having a
personal concierge. Every detail of our trip was developed with such
care and patience—we are talking about 2 families, 9 people total, 5
kids ranging in age from 2, 6, 8,10 and 14 years— all with special
interests, budget requirements, and ever changing ideas of how to have
the perfect Costa Rica vacation.
The commitment to personal service
was apparent from my first contact with Jason in September through
March when the day finally arrived.
We were thankful for the many
emails and phone calls (prompt updates and schedules of which there
were many!).
But the unprecedented bonus of My Costa Rica was the
experience we had on the ground. From the instant we arrived we were
greeted with such warmth and attentiveness. Our My Costa Rica drivers
(we traveled for 2 weeks with 4 transfers of considerable duration)
were wonderful, interesting people who exposed us and, in particular,
our children to the culture and people that make a visit to this
country so special.
Excursion selections were well worth it and our
guides were wonderful.To top it off, Jason came through rearranging a final hotel booking
and redeploying drivers at the very last minute (despite the fact that
it was Easter vacation for all of Costa Rica)!
This is a dedicated and energetic group of people who love what they
do and take pride in this remarkable place. Lucky us, and you, if you
have the opportunity to work with them.

Everything was planned
We had a great time in Costa Rica, and will definitely come back some
time!
Booking through you took a lot of stress off the trip - not having to
worry about the details when we were there. Everything was planned and
organized perfectly. Our drivers were great, and always on time. The
Volcano lodge was a beautiful resort. The canyoning and canopy tours
were awesome!
Our time at the beach was also great. The Bahia del Sol resort was
beautiful. The beach was quiet, which was a bonus. Most of the people
who stayed there were older (lots of gray hairs), so it was very quiet.
If I went back to the same area, I would choose to stay at Playa Grande.
We all liked the beach better - for the sand and bigger waves. It
seemed like more of a younger, backpackers crowd (more our style), but
still not crazy busy, like Tamarindo (would never want to stay in
Tamarindo). We liked the looks of hotel la Tortugas - and would try and
stay there next time.
All in all, the trip was great! You did a great job booking us into
great hotels and activities - so Thank You :)

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, but it does not take long after the return to get back into the busy life.As to the trip and your services, we can not say enough. We really enjoyed Costa Rica; the people were friendly and helpful(especially the drivers you arranged-Oscar and Tony, who were wonderful people and with whom we felt safe and comfortable). The country was beautiful and the activities you organized were great. All of us enjoyed them.
We can't say enough about casa alegria! It is a fabulous house, with a magnificent view and very well located close to the beach. The property is extremely well maintained and the person coming in to look after the place, clean etc each day made it even more enjoyable. The managers had left us some starter supplies and that was very helpful.
It was a great trip, due in no small part to your work. While initially concerned about dealing with someone I only met on the internet and soke to on the phone, you proved to provide a product which was only exceeded by the high quality of your personal service. Thank you.
(hard to beat that for a recommendation!)

We had a Blast!
Shawn and I returned from our trip last night and while I'm trying to catch up at work, I wanted to send you a quick note of thanks. Our vacation was wonderful! It was full of excitement and adventure with a dose of relaxation.
We really enjoyed all of the tours you chose for us. I don't know if you chose tour guides specifically, but we really had a great time with David at the Santa Elena Cloud Forest.
"Our favorite place of the whole trip was Arenal. After the unexpected frigid temperatures in the gorgeous Monteverde, we were very pleased with the warmth and resort-like atmosphere of the Arenal Paraiso. We loved the hot springs, the staff, and the TV. :) The trip to the Tabacon was, of course, a highlight but we were glad we didn't spend too long there, because it was quite nuts. The Canopy/Horseback tour the next day was another highlight. We had a blast" ...

It was truly amazing and beautiful
Would highly reccommend Jason Bateman to anyone who is planning a trip to Costa Rica. Jason was extremely helpful, and did everything he could to accomodate our wishes for our trip. Jason ensured that he incorporated our travel plans, adventure tours, and stayed within our price range as well.
Upon arriving to Costa Rica, we were greeted by a wonderful My Costa Rica representative. He gave us a thoughtful gift of an orchid from Costa Rica. Our drivers were always on time and were very pleasant. There were never any misunderstandings, or problems, and everything went as planned by Jason!

"Best Vacations we have had!" About the vacation at Costa Rica...... One of the best vacations we have had as a family in a long time. You planned our time real good and gave us tours which were very good. The sevices of all the staff .....just excellent. The transportation provided each time was always very clean and comfortable. lots of space to keep bags and we were only 3 with the Diver so it was very spacious. The best thing that I would like to comment about is the punctuality of tour operators. They were always there before time rather than us waiting for them We were very happy with the Hotel in Costa Rica as well as Arenal
The tour to la Paz waterfall was something I would always remember.
The Tour Guide there was so passionate about the place that he knew each and every detail about it. The food was excellent.
the Arenal volcano and the oozing of lava is something one has to see to believe and since we saw it one time I am sure soon we would be back to experience it again it was just spell bounding so beautiful to look at night and so majestic. my daughter did the Zip line to come back from the tram tour and she enjoyed it to her hearts content. She really had a good time. Thanks again for the great job you did and soon I hope I am able to bring a group of people from here for a short holiday as I have been so Ga Ga about the whole trip. I could not believe how smoothly everything went!
All of the transportation trips (via interbus) were great. The drivers were nice and reliable. In addition, the rides were very comfortable since there were no more than maybe 6 people in each bus at one time. I think the bus was just as good as a private driver! Arenal Springs was a great resort, much more than I expected. Tabacon was AMAZING!!!!! They were beautiful, relaxing, just more than you can hope for! I just cannot say enough good things about the hotsprings.
The canopy tour was very cool. I felt extremely safe with the course and tour guides (instructors). I heard, from other people, that this particular company was much more into safety than other canopy tour companies! Once again, thank you for planning the trip. You did a great job, I could not believe how smoothly everything went from the minute we landed in San Jose to the minute we boarded to go home in Liberia!

Lots of fun every where we went! We want to thank you for making our vacation a great one! We were very lucky with our weather in Costa Rica! Frank is very pleasant and was right there for us when we arrived at the airport. The " Lost Iguana Resort" was exactly what we needed. We love the space; air conditioned room and best of all great view of the volcano and lava at night. The food at restaurant was great too. I loved their Ceviche and their Peruvian Soup. They make awesome Guaro Sour drink, which I became addicted to after my trip to Tortuguero. The Sunset Tours, Canoa Aventura, and Arenal Mundo Aventura all had great personel and we had lots of fun every where we went.Thank you again for making our trip just perfect! Pura Vida!

Our trip was great, loved Costa Rica, the water, the people. Here my comments. The organization for all the tours and the pick ups and drop offs were excellent. Completely organized, right on time and no confusion. It worked like clockwork. From river rafting to the Catamaran sailing excursion. Really well done. "The Best Tour with the Best Guides"
We wanted to let you know that our trip to Costa Rica was incredible and to thank you for helping us put it all together. Costa Rica is a beautiful country. It was more than we expected it to be. Everything you had on our itinerary worked out perfectly and your detailed lists of what to bring to each venture was very helpful.
On our trip to the Arenal observation point there was family waiting for the same ride as us that didn't know they were actually going to be doing some hiking so they had to go back to their rooms to change into appropriate clothes.
On the canyoning trip to go rappelling down the waterfalls we met a couple on the minibus that didn't realize we were rappelling. They thought we were going canoeing down a river in a canyon and were wearing jeans. The woman was wearing flip flops so the guide had to tape them together on her feet. We both noted how well you did to let us know every detail about our ventures. We were never unprepared.
I would also like to tell you that Frank Chicas who drove us from San Jose Airport to Arenal was a perfect host and was such a good person to introduce us to the country. He was very informative about the country and we could not have asked for a more perfect first impression of the country.When he found out I was a coffee fan he stopped at a very nice cafe for some coffee and bread-which he paid for. Heri who took us from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio was equally as nice. We stopped with him for coffee as well and to see the crocodiles over a river he knew about. Both of those rides were very long but they both made them very pleasant and fun for us.
Also throughout the week, for every venture we had planned, every guide we had was great: the guys who took us to the Arenal observation point, the waterfall rappeling guides and our guide at Manual Antonio. On every trip we took we felt like we were on the best tour with the best guides. We cannot thank you enough for making our honeymoon as perfect as it was. You did an excellent job. We felt Pampered...
Should anyone want a reference for you and your agency, I would be most delighted to tell them what you did for us. It was all done at the last moment, and still all of the transfers, tours, and hotels were set up and ready for us. Our trip was a wonderful experience and we hope to visit again to see the beauty of Costa Rica. As far as the tours, the canopy zip line in Monteverde was a thrill, and the raft trip down the Pacuare was the best rafting we have had. Our Trip, Comments...
Firstly the itinerary you put together for us was excellent and we had a great trip. All the tours were excellent as were the staff. We also ended up doing the Don Quan coffee tour in Monteverde which was a great contrast to the other excursions and could thoroughly recommend the addition to any similar itinerary. The pick up at the airport was seamless and before we knew it we were at the hotel. The room was nice and staff polite and friendly but we were woken up by the noise from the bar which seemed to be right outside our room and this went on for some time. We did manage to get a good nights sleep though and the white water rafting the next day was by far our favorite trip. The staff were great and the river was spectacular. Arenal Springs was our favorite place, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the view of the volcano from our room absolutely stunning. Both the nature walk here and in Monteverde were very informative and the guides were very friendly.
Sapo Dorado was very nice and the staff were helpful although we had been spoilt be Arenal and while the room was really good (and the best shower!) we found the property not as good as Arenal for wandering around and relaxing (we loved taking a long breakfast and enjoying the excellent coffee at Arenal in those open air surroundings). The horseback riding was also as good as expected and we got some excellent pictures. Thanks again for your assistance leading up to the trip and also accommodating our hectic work schedules which delayed us making our final decisions and flight plans etc. We'll be sure to recommend your self and My Costa Rica Link to others in the future (and we already have!).

Costa Rica - exciting, relaxing, enjoyable and refreshing. Thanks My Costa Rica for pre-planning everything! I would like to note that I have been against this type of traveling for the most part, mainly due to my desire to be free and explore at my own will. However, this trip proved to be the perfect way to relax and enjoy. There was no stress over finding tour companies, rides, comparing prices, haggling in Spanish (even though I pre-mastered "Americana Pobrecita" and jutting out my lower lip), deciding over what to do and when. Everything planned was perfect. In addition, I've found that since my job is planning and timing everything, I do actually need a break from it.
Costa Rica ’s famous tag line is “Pura Vida” (Pure Life). I surrendered completely. The absence of phones, TV, computer and even a watch allowed for complete relaxation. At first, I was a little uneasy about swinging in a hamock unaware of the time and stressed about what to do next, but it only took a few cervezas to ease into the real way of living. It sparked some wonderful conversations and a new found special power to tell time by the sun. I strapped on my superhero shoes and took advantage of all the adventures offered including surfing, swimming, hiking: day & night, rafting, canopying, horseback riding, bat dodging and spider hunting (this was forced upon me). We also took trips to the hot springs and volcano. Surprisingly, there were a lot of organic restaurants and yoga studios. We didn’t have time to participate in the latter, but did enjoy the delicious organic food and local cuisine. There were a few moments we had on our own, which we enjoyed just hanging out in the pool.
Coincidentally, this is one of my favorite activities and was a chance to study up on my life long dream for a career in chillin’ by the pool. We encountered many colorful people during our trips to the hardcore surf spot, hippie beach, quaker land, palm springs by a volcano, and rafting our way back to San Jose. Stories were told of competetive sailing, kidnapping in Peru, camping for months on a beach, traveling with 60-80 yrs olds, and many others in Spanish that I did not understand. I have to say this was money, time and energy well spent.

A Wonderful Time
Yes, we had a wonderful time in your country. The volcano, beaches, zipline all were great! Although the Karahe was expensive, we wouldn't trade for a moment to have the beach right there and monkeys, iguanas, birds right outside our balcony! Ditto the one in Arenal that let us sit in chairs on the front porch and watch the show! In Manuel Antonio park, I think we had the best guide going. one place to the other, people meeting us when they were supposed to, etc. I enjoyed ALL the tours, especially the horse back riding at the Playa Tambor and the Canopy Tour by the Arenal Volcano. The Barcelo Playa Tambor resort was beautiful, and there were lots of (free!) activities to do there. And Jason, I really appreciate your thoroughness in keeping us updated by emails before the trip--assisting us in deciding what tours we should take, what we should expect once we got to Costa Rica, step-by-step itinerary of what we were doing every day, phone numbers of local people we could contact if there were any problems once we got to Costa Rica. My only regret was that we did not have a few more days to experience your fabulous country! And yes, I will recommend you and your travel agency to anyone who mentions they would like to visit Costa Rica. Thanks again!

Costa Rica Vacation
You did an excellent job in coordinating our vacation. Costa Rica is awesome and beautiful with lots of amazing adventures. I'm missing the warm weather, especially in San Jose. You provided me with exactly what I wanted as to clean and safe. Maureen and her husband are very special and we enjoyed David at the Babaloo immensely with his continual great stories.
Harry liked both areas and will probably be moving to the San Jose area this year.

Fantastic Trip!
Just wanted to drop a line and tell you what an outstanding trip we had. Thank you for all the work you did to make this a great trip and a exciting adventure!!!! You were right some of the roads are not that good and we did get lost a few times!!! This made it an adventure!!! All the activities you planned we enjoyed!!! The canopy tour the horseback riding was fantastic!!
The beauty of Arenal & Monteverde was awesome!!!!! By the time we got to Nosara we truly enjoyed the beach and the friendly Costa Rican people. The last day we tried to do as much possible in one day!!! we covered a lot of territory. we drove to Samara to NICOYA to GRECIA to

From the hotel accommodations to the tours you planned for me (including the transportation) everything was first rate. You were very helpful in coordinating the things I wanted to do and I relied on your suggestions being that this was my first trip there. I contacted various travel agencies but found My Costa Rica to be the most helpful (your efforts) and the least expensive. I also wanted to mention that the other agencies had tours or packages that were pre-planned whereas you helped me to customize my own itinerary. I will recommend your agency to my family and friends as well as my business associates.

Our Costa Rica Trip
My wife, our 2 boys, and myself went to Costa Rica in August of this year for our first time. We travel quite frequently and normally don't use a travel agent, however it seemed difficult to find and book hotels in Costa Rica without one. After numerous conversations with Jason, we decided to use his services. We had already researched our trip so we new where we wanted to go ( or at least we thought we did ). We explained to him what we were looking for in a vacation and what type of accommodations we wanted, and with that, he made some suggestions based on his experience in Costa Rica. Had we not taken his suggestions, we would have missed out on some of the best parts of our trip. Additionally, we were given chronological vouchers for our accommodations, shuttles, and activities. There were no problems whatsoever with our reservations, and everybody picked us up when they were supposed to; even the 4 am shuttle back to the airport. Jason did a great job!
The trip itself was amazing. We spent time in Arenal, Monte Verde, Playa Hermosa, and San Jose. We went horseback riding, did the zip lines, soaked ourselves in the hot springs, watched the volcano spew, surfed, and absorbed the Tico culture.

I understand how important it is when your travelling and forwarding money and time to a company you don't know anything about and I take pleasure to reassure you that our trip and experience was nothing but professional, honest and fanstastic. I'm a pretty tough vacation rater and I gave our trip a 9 1/2 out of 10. Most of this was due to My Costa Rica, Jason Bateman, working with me and listening to what our families needs and interests were. Everything was tickity boo from start to finish.

I wanted to write this note to express our gratitude to My Costa Rica. We had such a wonderful time when we took family vacation to Coast Rica. The whole experience was extremely friendly and professional.Like any one else, I was also apprehensive booking our vacation through an unknown internet web site but it turned out to be the best decision that I have ever made. We are extremely pleased with the arrangements made by My Costa Rica for our vacation. We had a great trip from the moment we landed in at San Jose till we departed for the USA. You were there whenever I had any questions or needed any help. All the pick ups at the hotel were in time and service very courteous. Thank you from the Crosslands! We just wanted to thank you again for planning such an incredible trip for us in Costa Rica. You were right on the target with arranging our adventures and accommodations. I have to admit that we were a little apprehensive when we first started planning the trip because of My Costa Rica being an internet based company. Ours fears were quickly alleviated after speaking with you and hearing your enthusiasm and knowledge of Costa Rica. We truly appreciate the countless hours and patience you had with us in customizing the itinerary of our trip which very few travel agencies offer. We loved the fact that we could plan to travel at our own pace rather than in a large tourist group with a predetermined packaged itinerary. Every aspect of our trip from the transfers to the activities to the accommodations went smoothly.
Now having visited Costa Rica we can understand you relocating there. The "Ticos" are such warm and friendly people. The scenery was lush and beautiful. We were mesmerized by the spewing lava from Arenal Volcano and would love to have those Tabacon Hot Springs in the backyard. We were really impressed with the enthusiasm of our various guides as well as the thought and creativity that has gone into the various destinations we visited such as La Paz , Sky Trek and the Hot Springs. The Trip to Monteverde, with it's rugged beauty and charm was so worth it. We have had the fortunate opportunity to travel quite a bit but none of our travels have offered the adventure and beauty that you helped provide for us in Costa Rica.

Vacation Report: I just wanted to express my thanks to you for your wonderful effort and all the hard work you did to book our vacation and for making it a well treasured memory. Everything went very smoothly and everyone we met with was excellent in courtsey and service. It was very nice to have someone meet us at the airport and it was a very nice touch to be presented with the bag of coffee candies. Thank you. Our flights were smooth and extremely helpful in arriving at dinnertime and quite relaxed. Tulemar was wonderful and very relaxing. The only thing I would suggest is to advise people to bring their own snorkelling equipment, they only had one set for the entire resort. That was a little disappointing, since directly across from the bay was a great little spot to snorkel and many tour boats arrived there to enjoy the coral. We were very fortunate to be able to kayak their free of charge. The breakfasts that were included in every hotel were fantastic and very helpful. We went sailfishing in Quepos and had success in landing 2 wonderful sailfish. Great day. The transfer to Monteverde was fantastic we had a great driver and he stopped at a river where we saw many large crocidiles, the kids loved it! We choose to do zip lines and a canopy tour with a company named Selvatura Park. They were sensational. Both kids zipped lined and they loved it. They were very scared at first, but this well run organization encouraged both of them to try and were extremely safety minded. Once they tried the first one, they didn't want to stop. We also were able to see the hummingbird garden and a wonderful insect museum. With only having the one night here it was excellent to have all of this available to us in one place. I would highly recommend it in the future. The hotel in Monteverde was good, but we did not spend much time there with our tight agenda. The room itself was beautiful. The jeep, boat, jeep transfer was fantastic and very stress free. The Lost Iguana was a wonderful hotel as well, and we saw the volcano clear. It was great! When we hiked the toucan trail at this hotel we were at the Arenal Hanging Bridges. Great place to view the volcano and we rented some dune buggies and went touring around that was real fun. The volcano hike was great, the kids loved the Tabacon Hot Springs. =The transfer to La Mansion was good and the hotel itself was great. It felt like we travelled a 100 miles away, but it was only a 30 minute drive. The hospitality was exceptional along with food. The owners have a very European influence and high standards which makes it feel like your own home, we really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend it for someone who enjoys this style. Our transfer to the airport was very good and the driver was very keen in showing us animals and stopping to explain things, he was great. The personal charter was fantastic back to San Jose. Great flight and stress free.
To sum up this vacation, we are calling it our MacDougall Adventure not just another vacation. Memories have been created for a lifetime and none of this could have been possilbe with you. We rate this adventure at a 9 1/2 out of 10. Everyone loved it and we all feel it has been our best trip ever. Thanks again for everything, your company will always be promoted by me. You have much to be proud of and all your suggestions, patience and work is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the memories.
