Playa Garza Near Nosara

South of Playa Guiones is Playa Garza. This beach is very similar in size and shape to Guiones but it is not a surfing beach, and neither is it touristy! An offshore reef protects the beach from the waves and from the currents thus it is calm and has small soft waves, and with its white sand and clear water, it has a very sleepy, idealistic air, and it is ideal for snorkeling, playing and swimming. Playa Pelada in Nicoya Peninsula

North of Guiones is the picturesque beach of Playa Pelada. Local fishermen still use it, giving it its authentic air. The sea there is very calm and it is excellent for swimming and snorkeling between the rocks; a truly charming place. If you keep going north you get to Playa Nosara. Possibly the least attractive yet it gives you a good glimpse at the real Costa Rican life a locals bring their family there for the weekend.
