We generally recommend flying into Costa Rica’s northern airport in Liberia to combine a visit to both countries on your next vacation to Central America. The Liberia International Airport is located just an hour south of the border and is close to many exciting destinations in both Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Several domestic airlines such as Grupo Taca, Copa Airlines and Aerocaribbean have flights daily to various destinations throughout Nicaragua.
