San Juan del Sur

Rivas, Nicaragua is located in southwestern Nicaragua and refers to both a city and a department (state). Granada
Granada is considered one of the most important cities in Nicaragua for many reasons, but most specifically from a historical perspective. Founded in 1524 by Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba, the city has a long and interesting colonial history that is evident in its architecture and city planning.
Managua
Located on the southwestern shores of Lake Nicaragua, Managua has been capital of Nicaragua since the 1800’s. The largest city in Nicaragua in terms of both population and size, Managua was originally a sleepy rural fishing community that gained its current prominence primarily because of its position between the bickering communities of Leon and Granada.
Leon
Leon, Nicaragua as the second largest city in Nicaragua, after Managua. Home to the Universidad Centro Americana, Leon has a large student population and lots of restaurants, bars and activities for people of all ages!
Lake Nicaragua
Lake Nicaragua is the largest lake in Central America and is the 19th largest (by area) in the world and 9th largest in the Americas. With an area of just over 3000 square miles and an elevation just over 100 feet over sea level and reaches depths of over eighty feet!
