Monteverde Trainforest – Costa Rica by Train!

The tour has a duration of 90 minutes and includes round trip transportation from most of the hotels found in Monteverde or Santa Elena Costa Rica. This tour is truly relaxing – a welcomed relief after a day of adrenaline on one of the other area attractions, such as the canopy or canyoning tours, ATV among others. These electric trains can hold up to 72 passengers and offer a safe and unique way to travel through the cloud forest. Built by the English company, Severn Lamb, which has been building locomotives since 1948 – you’ll find this to be an amazing railroad experience. Cross over 4 bridges and through a tunnel as you get a chance to enjoy the area’s flora and fauna with family and friends. The tour takes you to a lookout of the Arenal Volcano and Lake offering spectacular views. The tour runs daily from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and has a duration of approximately 90 minutes.
