Beautiful Rain Forest Lodge

Laguna Lodge is a beautiful rainforest lodge in Costa Rica's Tortuguero. This environmentally conscious jungle lodge has a unique sense of style with its artistic details and design. Tortuguero is in Costa Rica's northern Caribbean zone, a wild and lush area of canals, jungle and incredible wildlife. It is also the most important nesting site in the entire Western half of the Caribbean for the endangered green sea turtle. Laguna Lodge lies in an exclusive location on a narrow strip of land between five kilometers of Caribbean Sea on one side and the Tortuguero Lagoon on the other. It is an excellent place from which to explore the canals, town and beaches.

The hotel restaurant is located in front of the Tortuguero lagoon, providing beautiful views of the forests and canals. Buffet meals are served and include a variety of local fresh tropical fruits and vegetables. A 24 hour coffee and tea service with cookies is available in the restaurant for guests to sit and relax whilst watching the locals ride by in their boats. There are also three bars if you fancy a change of scene or a tropical cocktail. Throughout all of the dining and entertainment areas, you will find local wood from the beach and reconstructed to become part of the hotel. The result is a cohesive, naturally environment.

Beautiful surroundings

A two or three day visit is recommended to get the most out of your visit to this stunning area. The Caribbean beach boasts strong waves and dark sand as well as yet more stunning views. There are many activities available including visits to the Tortuguero National Park canals, the village of Tortuguero, the Turtle Museum of the Caribbean Conservation Corporation. Guided night walks are offered to search for green sea turtles as they come by the hundreds to lay their eggs. Fishing trips and Kayaking trips are available for guests to explore, or rent your own boat and go on an adventure!
