Crowne Plaza Corobici Hotel in San Jose Costa Rica has always been a great place for business and fun. The city center is a long walk away but the country's largest airport is just a few miles down a busy four lane freeway. A string of taxis next to the hotel can take you into the city; just make sure the cab driver has the taxi meter on. La Sabana, a 178 acre urban park with a lake and ample green space, is on the other side of a charming street lined with trees. A large grocery store is across another street; be alert crossing this hectic road since it lacks a proper area to traverse.

The Corobici Hotel, with 15 modern meeting rooms for groups of up to 1000 people, caters best to active business men and women. Their staff provide patrons with an iron and a board, alarm clocks, extra luggage racks and ten dollar-a-day Internet. The Corobici has a truly large and fully equipped fitness center, an outdoor pool, big rooms, shops, a small casino and restaurants. Built during the 70's and at the outset named the Playboy Hotel, the Corobici Hotel could use an upgrade in some areas, like their TV's. Beware of restaurant and busy street noise that may keep patrons staying in bottom floor hotel rooms awake part of the night.
