Guanamar Hotel, in business since 1985, is among the first resort hotels in Nicoya Costa Rica. This coastal hill top hotel has immense panoramic ocean views off the eastern crest of Carrillo Bay and the Pacific. Carrillo Beach Activities

Tours to see turtle nesting, horseback riding, snorkeling and dolphin watching can be arranged for Carrillo Beach. There's a scenic riparian tour down the Ora River in a kayak full wildlife spotting, bird watching and fresh air. Bay waters at Carrillo Beach are calm and ideal for safe swimming, snorkeling, watersports and sports fishing. Camaronal Wildlife Reserve close by is not a well known surfing spot, its isolated left hand break is held a local secret. Samara, a beach town on the other direction, is full of options for dining and going out where lots more action and people are found. Guanamar is 2 and a half hours away from Liberia Airport and 5 hours from the one in San Jose Costa Rica.
