 Hotel Canciones del Mar
welcomes you to a little piece of paradise. We see ourselves as the
nicest small distinctive beach front hotel in Jaco with reasonable
rates and with the best service in town. We serve a free buffet
breakfast which is included in all our rates. Las “Canciones
del Mar” is located Ocean Front and centrally in the little
former fishing village of Garabito or more commonly known as
“Jacó Beach” or just simply
Jacó (pronounced HA-co).
Las Canciones del
Mar consists of 11 one bedroom suites, a honey moon suite, and a large
two bedroom suite, each fully equipped and air conditioned apartments
with cable TV and a direct telephone connection to the outside. We can
convert also one of our suites as conference area.
Since "Canciones
del Mar" is located beach front, the majority of our units have a pool
or garden view and some units have beach view.
 Canciones del Mar is
nestled in lush tropical gardens with a 1.5 meter deep free form
swimming pool with a bridge leading to a vine covered pergola. There is
ample deck space and lounges for sunning as well as a secluded shady
section for reading and dozing. You may sample some of the coconuts,
pipas, papayas and bananas which grow on the property; flowers abound
everywhere.
Las Canciones del
Mar is a completely walled property for privacy and security. A
barbecue area is available for the use by guests as well as hammocks
for those who prefer to swing gently with las Canciones del Mar
– the songs of the sea breaking on the shore amidst the songs
of the myriad of birds.
The 5.5 km long
beach of fine volcanic sand is a safe for walking day or night.
Jacó is becoming the surfing capital of Costa Rica
especially in the months of July through September. The surf is not
necessarily “High” but the waves are consistent.
The weekends and school holidays bring the weary workers of San
José and their families for sun and fun. Jacó is
a town to satisfy the needs of all young and the more mature alike.
Las Canciones del
Mar is a few minutes walk up a rustic laneway to the many and varied
shops and restaurants of Jacó, the restaurants offer local,
American, and international cuisine in an informal and casual ambiance.
Shorts and T-shirts will take you anywhere. The infra-structure of
Jacó is complete. There is a medical clinic, a doctor who
makes house calls, a red cross ambulance service, a modern pharmacy, a
dentists, several supermarkets, a fish store, a butcher shop, 3 discos,
2 casinos, and many restaurants including a pizza par lour.
Beside the hotel
property is a small lagoon and river which abounds in wild life.
Caymans and
Turtles as well as Nutria and several species of waterfowl are local
residents. For the birders, more than 50 species of birds can be
identified by just sitting on your patio. Many species of Iguanas,
large and small. Also inhabit the property along with the chatty white
faced Squirrels. The Pacific sunsets are spectacular and the feeling of
peace and tranquility is everywhere. Guests can relax, doze, stroll
along the beach or visit the interesting shops in town.
