Hotel Almonds and Corals Caribbean Costa Rica

Location and local area

Manzanillo is one of the lesser known towns of Costa Rica. Situated just past Cahuita and Puerto Viejo, it is a small fishing village with an abundance of wildlife and fauna. This is where you will find Almonds and Corals, right in the heart of the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. Perfect for a jungle holiday or a beach trip (it has both), it provides a perfect sense of luxury with private bungalows in the midst of nature. Enjoy the peacefulness of the jungle or get out and hike in the wilderness. There really is something for everyone.

Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge

This wildlife refuge is one of the most stunning places that you will visit in Costa Rica. Located just mnutes for the border with Panama, it is protects some of the regions most endangered species. Under the reefs of the coast, you will find the Atlantic’s only natural mangrove oyster beds. Along with the coral reef, the park also consists of two swamps and a seven hundred and forty acre forest. Not to mention its stunning ten kilometre stretch of Caribbean beach. Likely to find roaming the humid tropical rainforest are crocodules, manatees, caimans and turtles. You will also spot dolphins off the coast. This is an experience not to be missed!

Your Own Private Paradise

Twenty four bungalows make up the Almonds and Corals complex. The forest is so dense that sunlight barely manages to reach the ground, so each bungalow is positioned on stilts. It is beautifully ethereal to wander through the orchid branches and the leaves from your bedroom to the beautiful beach on the Caribbean sea. The sand is golden and the sea is warm. You will feel relaxed in no time. The hotel offers a laundry service, a jungle spa and various other mini luxuries that will truly help you to just relax and enjoy your Costa Rica vacation.
