Dominical, The Place For Surfing, Exploring And More

Dominical is a friendly surfers community on the Central Pacific Coastline, some 28 miles south of Quepos. This 4km long beach is rated as one of the best Surfing Beaches of Costa Rica and people gather there from all over the world! Dominical is a quiet little fishing village that has slowly transformed itself into an international surf community; many of the expats living there constantly are actually the first people who discovered it and who decided to start a new life; surfers and lovers of nature alike have all they ask for in Dominical, far away from the maddening crowd with all they need at their doorstep!

More Than Just A Great Surfing Beach

Dominical is not just one of the most popular Costa Rican Beaches for surfers; there is so much to do and to explore in this area. The beach, with its amazing backdrop of lush tropical jungle and palm trees, is a wonderful place for Birdwatching, whale and dolphin watching in the Marino Ballena National Park, and there are many Tours and activities to do such as zip line canopy tours, visits to Manuel Antonio, Corcovado, Uvita, horseback riding, hiking, etc. Swimming in Dominical can be a little dangerous because of the currents, so apply caution and common sense. Ask around for the horseback riding Tours to the nearby Nauyaca Waterfalls and about the short day trips to the enchanting Caño Island just off the coast; this island is one of the most exciting diving spots in the world where you can see incredible underwater marine life.

Dominical Has A Great Choice Of Hotels

The little expat town has all necessary amenities and facilities as well these days with hotels, lodges, resorts and restaurants, as well as all the necessary shops and entertainment, and this makes it a very nice place to live in and to visit! Indeed some of the first surfers who discovered Dominical loved it so much that they decided to stay and started running businesses. The Hotel Cuna del Angel is a lovely and cozy boutique hotel that is German owed, and the Hotel Villa del Rio Mar, by the river Baru, are two examples of fine lodging in the jungle, the proof that you may be in a rainforest, close to nature yet surrounded by style, elegance and comfort! If you are looking for a fine hotel by some of the best Beaches of Costa Rica, Dominical is it!

A Place Of Choice In Paradise

Dominical is not only a good place to visit because it has one of the best Surfing Beaches of Costa Rica. The amazing flora and fauna, and the proximity of such fantastic destinations as Corcovado in the Osa Peninsula and Manuel Antonio, its lovely climate, friendly community and of course great weather all year along; you could not really go wrong when choosing this exotic destination. It is also easy to get to by car or by bus. If you are driving, you can either follow the road to the Central Pacific Coast and carry on South in Manuel Antonio or go through the Central Valley and the Talamanca Mountains through San Isidro el General.
