We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. Thank you for organizing our trip.

A few comments:

Shuttle Transfers:

Very impressed with the minivan transfers; new, clean vehicles, good drivers, always arrived within +/- 5 minutes of scheduled time.

Flamingo Beach Resort:

very comfortable rooms, lovely beach. buffet lunches and dinners very much the same, and fairly basic. We didn't realize until the last day that the all inclusive deal included meals ordered a la carte, which were much better.

Monteverde Country Lodge:

Very helpful staff, access to office computer for email clean but basic; rooms quite small The jacuzzi mentioned in the description is at their sister hotel (a $5 cab ride away)

Hanging bridges:

transportation was included, but no guide (which was fine with us)

Arenal Springs:

fanciest place I've stayed at; wonderful rooms, great hot springs, good food (though a bit pricy)

Morning hike in the Arenal Volcano National Park:

supposed to be 2.5 hours; was only a mile each way through a flat path of volcanic sand; 20 minutes of standing around at the beginning of the lava field, the guide was informative, but stretching out the talk to make up for the short walk, not worth the money

Tamarindo Diria Hotel:

lovely beach, good food rooms were small ; intermittent hot water
