Burris Vacation February 3rd - 11th, 2011

Words cannot express how much we adore Costa Rica. The trip was absolutely amazing and we feel so blessed to have experienced all that you planned. Thank you for your expertise and guidance. We are looking forward to scheduling our next adventure with you.

The Hotels:

The Hotel Alta had amazing views over San Jose and wonderful character. It was a great place to begin our journey. The staff were so warm and the breakfast was delicious.

Arenal Nayara was our favorite by far! It was like heaven on earth. The hotel was so warm and inviting and thought of every little detail. We loved the outdoor tub and shower and the food was fantastic! We had a hard time leaving and will be sure to spend more days in that area next time.

Oxygen Jungle Villas was a very unique experience. I am very glad we stayed there once, but I think we would like to explore Manuel Antonio perhaps next time due to more wildlife and more activities close by. Oxygen was very relaxing, had an amazing pool and outstanding food! It is a very special place.

*** We stopped by Tulemar Bungalows and met the NICEST staff. They gave us a tour and we think we may enjoy that place next time. We'll have to get your thoughts on that.

The Tours:

The tours you set up were great!

The evening volcano hike was nice and we even saw monkeys and toucans. The volcano was only 1/4 out, but we were able to see the entire peak the next day (we felt lucky because we heard February was a hard time to see the whole thing). Tabacon Hot Springs were magnificent and we had a lovely dinner there. Our skin never felt better ;)

The ziplining was fun! It rained the entire time, but we thought that put a unique spin on things. We hope to do it in the sunshine next time. We liked the horseback riding and meeting the indigenous people as well.

Whitewater rafting was challenging but not scary. The Rio Balsa was gorgeous...it felt like a warm fall day. The guides were so fun and very professional. The pictures they took and sold at the end were amazing and well worth $25!

The Whale and Dolphin tour was one of my favorites. The whales and dolphins came so close to the boat and put on quite a show! The snorkeling and swimming at Cano Island was amazing. The water was so warm and clear and we saw all types of fish.

Transportation:

Always on time and felt safe throughout. The drive from La Fortuna to Uvita was very long, but we saw beautiful countryside. The shuttle was well worth taking the first time visiting Costa Rica. The drivers were so friendly and educational. Marco in Uvita even stopped when he saw wildlife so we could get photos.

In General:

The food was amazing everywhere. The people were all so warm and friendly. I can understand why so many move down to this country...I would in a heartbeat. We are looking forward to the next visit and are working on a plan on how to be down there for good (or at least 1/2 of the year!). Costa Rica would be special no matter what, but you have made it perfection with your knowledge of "the best of everything". Thank you a million times over for making our dream vacation a reality. We will be recommending your agency to anyone interested in Costa Rica or Panama. As for me, I will be working on coming out of my post vacation depression and looking at our pictures until we can return!
