We had a wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful vacation and want to thank you for your guidance and planning. First, let me say how important it was to arrange ground transportation. Had we rented a car, as per our original plan, the trip could have been a nightmare. All the drivers appeared on time and were knowledgeable, careful and friendly. If we were to do the trip over, however, we would use local airlines to minimize ground transportation. The Tamarindo airport and flight to San Jose was memorable.

Second, the 3 tours were fantastic. White water rafting was a wonderful experience. The guides were skillful and friendly. The zip line tour was a tremendous adventure. The hike up the mountain was exceptionally strenuous and you should caution seniors about that. The catamaran trip was amazing. We saw many whales and the snorkeling was fun.

The Hotel Mountain Paradise was in a beautiful setting and the rooms were good. Their lighting system was not an asset and the room was kind of dark. The restaurant was outstanding.

The Westin Playa Conchal was magnificent. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The only hitch was the reservation called for twin beds, probably our fault for not checking. The first night we had 2 doubles and then were moved to a king size bedded room on the second night. It was a bit of a hassle. We were offered $50/person/night upgrades to the Royal Beach club at check-in, and we took that offer.
